Mosaic Crochet: Fall Foliage: 10/11, 1-3p - Andy

What: Mosaic crochet is the next step in advancing your crochet skills. Use it to make home decor, blankets, beanies, and even sweaters!

In this class you will learn the flat mosaic crochet technique with the lovely “Foliage” pattern by Alexis Sixel. We’ll practice overlay stitches, diagonal stitches, and chart reading. If you’ve never worked with multiple colors before, you’ll find this is the simplest technique to make contrasting colors pop! Choose between creating a pillow cover or a “mug rug” for some cozy seasonal decor.

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner/Intermediate - Must know sc, dc, and decreases. Must be fairly comfortable with recognizing and counting stitches.

Materials: Worsted weight yarn in two contrasting colors - 30 yds each for mug rug, 200 yds each for pillow cover; 5.0mm (H) hook; copy of "Foliage" by Alexis Sixel, available on Ravelry; locking stitch markers (optional)
