Beginners Guide to Top-Down Socks

What: Venture into the wonderful world of sock knitting with this 3-part class! You will learn the basics of top-down sock construction while knitting either the extraordinarily popular “Rose City Rollers” ankle sock pattern by Mara Catherine Bryner OR “Pom Squad Sneaker Sock” from the Shorty Sock Pattern set by Summer Lee Design Company which includes arch support rounds.

Materials: 

• 32”- 40” circular needle size 0 or 1* (or double pointed needles, if proficient) 
• 200-300 yards of fingering weight yarn containing some nylon 
• Copy of the free Ravelry pattern “Rose City Rollers”  adaptations for magic loop will be provided) OR a copy of the Ravelry purchase pattern “Shorty Sock Pattern Set”
• Light bulb stitch markers
