This class is designed to make your first weaving experience fun and easy! The first week of class the loom will be pre-warped with yarn you choose, and you will learn how to weave, as well as how to do a simple hemstitch. You will take the loom home for a week to finish your project. Return the second week to work on fringe finishing. If you would like to learn to warp a loom and practice your weaving skills for an additional week you can add the Warping Class, which includes loom rental for another week.

Week 1: 1pm-3pm
Week 2: 1pm-2pm

---

OPTIONAL: Week 2 Warping Class*: 2:00-4:30pm $50

*Warping Class – 2.5 hours of class instruction - includes use of a loom for 1 week.  If fewer than 2 students sign up the class may be rescheduled. $50

---

Ease Into Weaving – 3 hours of class instruction - includes use of loom for 1 week.  (Rental looms are Ashford Rigid Heddle looms. We ask that you sign a rental contract and provide a $25 refundable deposit). If less than 2 students sign up the class may be rescheduled.

Pre-warped loom. Make a cowl with one skein of yarn, or a scarf with two. Samples are available to see in store.

Materials needed: Worsted weight yarn. 210 yds will make a cowl. 420 yards will make a scarf 7”x 70”.  Suggested yarns: Malabrigo Rios, Cascade 220, Cascade Wave, Berroco Comfort, or Berroco Sesame (best for weft with another yarn for warp), Universal Tweed.

Yarn needs to be purchased one week before class, so the teacher has time to warp the loom. We request yarn be purchased from Unwind Yarn Studio.

Projects to choose from include scarf or table runner.

Materials needed: Worsted weight yarn.
